Yesterday sucked...then it didn't.

Yesterday sucked...then it didn't.

First, I updated this platform and lost access to Reels and their other torture methods to share our news. I was desperate to share the word about our current raffle to extend some bit of care and kindness. Like I personally really needed to do that, to make some impact to help and I needed this community to be able to do it. Then I heard trickling water and discovered that half of my apartment was covered in 2 inches of water. A pipe had eroded and water everywhere cascading to the neighbors below, and even below them. In the frenzy, I slipped and threw my back out, but we had to keep trying to soak up the water thru the pain. Then the doorbell rang and my neighbor Paolo came to help after he realized where the rain coming down his ceiling came from. A few hours later, I was laying on the now dry floor and ready this post from @textile.mixologist about a small act months ago. Gosh, I really needed her kind words and my neighbor's help amidst all this chaos and heaviness. In a world that yields heavy handed might like a hammer, never underestimate the power of small acts of kindness.
