Sketch to Shoe

Sketch to Shoe

The Lila. I hesitated taking this from sketch to shoe for a looong time....it sat 7 years in my sketch book, untouched for an unknown reason. As a kid, I wore a similar sillhouette in a black cloth version with the most slippery of flat plastic soles, damned each time a game of tag came up. I also wore this in a firm black leather version as required by Sister Edward Francis, damned for the blisters and lack of fun...she may have done that purposefully 🤔. I even had it in a jelly version, aka swamp shoes...I know you remember. To finally get to recreate it in our funnest and most beautiful leathers, with the ideal walking 2cm heel and a classic almond toe shape is possibly circling back to heel (pun) past shoe trauma.... but maybe I just now made it because I finally could and Spring is yelling at me. 😂 #colorful #sustainablestyle #handmadetoorder #colorstory #shoes #sevillasmith
